I’m Sara Turbyfill, a Denver graphic designer specializing in branding, digital design, print design, and web design. I primarily work with small businesses, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs to provide turn-key design solutions that fit their needs. I have 10 years of experience in graphic design and have worked on a variety of projects over the years. Before starting Sara Turbyfill Design, I held various marketing positions and have collaborated on over 50 websites over the years. Here are a few fun facts about me: I studied abroad in Argentina for 6 months in college, I’m a mom to a Holland Lop bunny, I’ve been to 17 countries outside the United States, and my true passion is wildlife photography.

Although I started my business a few years ago, my graphic design journey started much earlier. When I graduated from college in 2015, I quickly fell into the world of marketing. My first job out of college was working for the local chamber of commerce in my hometown. As the executive assistant, my job was to organize events and manage marketing efforts for the chamber. I was responsible for sending out the email newsletter, writing press releases for the local newspaper, and updating all marketing materials to reflect the correct information. While working in this role, I gained experience in web design and the graphic design program Microsoft Publisher.

It wasn’t until my second job after college, however, that I fell in love with the art of graphic design. I went to work for a furniture company in Houston as a marketing assistant and was eventually promoted to marketing director. While working in this position, I developed even more graphic design skills and started working with several programs in Adobe Creative Cloud. My daily tasks included updating the website with new inventory, designing weekly flyer ads for the local newspaper, creating digital advertisements for paid search campaigns, and updating all social media accounts every week. It was a this point that I realized I wanted to start my own design business one day.

After finishing my second job, I went on to work for 2 different digital marketing agencies in the following years. In these roles, I improved my digital marketing skills and gained experience in SEO, paid search, and web development. As a seasoned marketing professional, I’ve now collaborated on over 50 websites, mastered several programs in Adobe Creative Cloud, and designed thousands of graphics for clients in various industries. 

In 2015, I graduated from Baylor University in Waco, TX, with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. At the time, I loved to travel and had a dream of starting my own business someday. Therefore, I majored in international business and entrepreneurship. After graduating from college, I held numerous marketing roles before starting my own business.

I started freelancing as a Denver graphic designer in 2020 and officially launched Sara Turbyfill Design two years later. I love working with clients to help bring their ideas to life through the art of graphic design. As a creative, I’m grateful that I get to design something new every day. When I’m not in front of the computer, I enjoy birdwatching, wildlife photography, and exploring Colorado. I’m also recognized as a Certified Professional Photographer and have a photography business called Sara Turbyfill Photography.
